Last week I was in the Virginia/Washington DC area for a funeral. My great aunt passed away and family came in from all over the US, including my mom who lives in California. It was great to see the extended family, many of whom I had not seen in over 30 years!

Turning 40!

Until a few months ago, age has never been a factor. My husband is 11 years older than I am and most of my friends are a few years older. It’s been that way the majority of my life. I had always taken it as a compliment that I was considered older than my years because I assumed that meant I was wiser and “able to hold my own” with any crowd.
