Biography

The Choose a Better Life Chick

When Stephanie Hester – The Choose a Better Life Chick – speaks, she has a unique way of being authentic and vulnerable while being uplifting and encouraging.

Stephanie’s experience – as both a business executive and working mother - helps others understand how behaviors – either positive or negative - can impact both personal and professional relationships.

A true believer in the power of personal choice, Stephanie has lived firsthand the joys of overcoming obstacles and stepping out to face challenges with a positive attitude.

A former corporate executive with significant consulting and training experience, Stephanie has designed, secured funds for, implemented and managed new programs enabling companies to support aggressive growth rates.

Stephanie has been featured in national publications, including the Wall Street Journal.  She is also the author of the motivational book Choose a Better Life: Common Sense for Uncommon Living and a weekly blog by the same name.

Stephanie’s mantra is “you cannot always control what happens to you, but you can always control how you respond to what happens to you.”  And she is a firm believer that you shouldn’t just live life, you should LOVE it!

A Note From Stephanie

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site...

While you are here feel free to sign up for my free monthly newsletter and read my weekly blog.  Come back often to see how your answer compares to others taking the one-question survey.

People often comment that I am such a positive person.  I am most thankful for that compliment because that wasn’t always the case.  But I “practice what I preach” so to speak, and I really am able to see the good in most situations.  That doesn’t mean I don’t have my toilet moments (you will find out what this means in my presentations,) but I choose not to stay there. It's always a choice.

I am often asked what motivates me.  For this reason I’m sharing a list of mantras/beliefs/things I strive toward to give you a glimpse of my heart.

•    People are inherently valuable and they deserve greatness.
•    There is enough greatness to go around.  How can I help you reach yours?
•    It’s truly not about me, but about helping others see their strengths and abilities.
•    Belief in myself is the foundation for belief in others.
•    Past mistakes and experiences don’t define me.  They refine me and make me better.
•    Every day is filled with new opportunities to succeed.
•    No one can take away my power to choose.

And one with which you are already familiar: You can’t always control what happens to you, but you can always control how you respond to what happens to you.

If there are any questions I can answer please do not hesitate to contact me.  You will find everything you need to get in touch with me under the Contact Me section.

Many Blessings to You,

 Stephanie
